Cenoven was founded by Wan Lung Eng, a chief financial officer with more than 24 years of experience leading finance for Nasdaq-listed companies, private equity portfolio companies, and growth-stage businesses. He has served as a CFO across numerous companies, building the financial infrastructure, controls, and investor narrative that carry a business from one stage to the next.
Most recently, Wan Lung was Group Chief Financial Officer and a Board Member of Currenc Group (Nasdaq: CURR), a publicly traded artificial intelligence and financial technology company, where he joined as Group CFO of the listed entity. Earlier, he was Chief Financial Officer of VitalCheck Wellness, where he helped scale a healthcare technology platform from early revenue toward institutional scale; Chief Financial Officer of Teclison, a clinical-stage biotechnology company; Chief Financial Officer of Spectral MD, an artificial intelligence medical technology company listed on the London Stock Exchange AIM market; and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Immersive Artistry.
Before moving into operating roles, Wan Lung spent more than a decade in investment banking and private equity. He advised technology, media, and telecommunications companies on mergers and acquisitions at RBC Capital Markets, with earlier roles at Deutsche Bank and Wachovia. At Macquarie Group, he led a $4.8 billion infrastructure exit and a $135 million debt restructuring of the portfolio companies. He began his career with Temasek Holdings, the Singapore government’s sovereign wealth fund.
This combination is what founders and boards retain Cenoven for: a CFO who has owned the financial close, the board package, and the cash forecast, and who has also led public listings, raised institutional capital, and represented companies in negotiations with acquirers.
Wan Lung holds a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He is based in New York City, where Cenoven works with clients across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
